Yellow Tigers open European Championship against Hungary

On 17 August 2023, the Yellow Tigers start the European Championship in their home country. Their first opponent in Pool A is Hungary.

First appointment with the Yellow Tigers fans will have on Thursday 17 August in the top sports hall in Ghent. After that, the Belgian volleyball women will take on Slovenia, Ukraine, Poland and Serbia. The 1/8th finals will start on Sunday 27 August in Brussels. The full playing schedule for the group stage is as follows:

17/08/2023, 20h: Hungary – Belgium
19/08/2023, 20h: Slovenia – Belgium
21/08/2023, 20h: Belgium – Ukraine
22/08/2023, 20h: Belgium – Poland
24/08/2023, 20h: Serbia - Belgium

The 1/8th and quarter-finals will be played at 5pm and 8pm.

The semi-finals will be finished at 5pm and 8.30pm.

The Yellow Tigers know their opponents!

The EC2023 draw took place in Naples. The Yellow Tigers know the five opponents who will descend on Ghent to finish the pool phase.

The match schedule for the pool phase in Ghent is known, our opponents are: Slovenia (CEV-14), Serbia (CEV-1), Poland (CEV-9), Ukraine (CEV-13) and Hungary (CEV-22). The pool phase will be completed in the Topsporthal, from the quarter-finals onwards the Belgian Yellow Tigers will move to Palace 12 in Brussels.
