Young Yellow Tigers secure hard-fught victory against Sweden
In their third match of the tournament, the Young Yellow Tigers faced off against Sweden. The Belgian volleyball team started strong, quickly building a lead in the first set, which they held on to until the end, winning 25-18.
However, the Tigers' performance in the second set was inconsistent, allowing Sweden to keep pace. Despite a strong start, the Belgians couldn’t maintain their momentum, and Sweden eventually claimed the set with a score of 23-25.
The third set saw a turnaround. The Belgians picked up the pace and completely outplayed their Swedish opponents. Sweden had no answer for the Tigers’ play and suffered a heavy defeat, losing 13-25.
The fourth set mirrored the second, with the Belgians once again showing inconsistent play. This gave Sweden the opportunity to go toe-to-toe and ultimately win the set 23-25.
In the decisive fifth set, the Young Yellow Tigers fully regained their form. They demonstrated their class and convincingly won 15-4, securing the overall victory.
