Seppe Rotty from Knack Roeselare selected for the All-Star Team of the CEV Champions League 2024/25
The Belgian volleyball world has reason to be proud: Seppe Rotty, the 24-year-old outside hitter from Knack Roeselare, has been selected for the prestigious All-Star Team of the CEV Champions League 2024/25. He shares this honour with international stars such as Dick Kooy (Halkbank Ankara) and Simone Giannelli (Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia). Rotty received 7,264 votes in the fan poll, earning second place among the outside hitters, just behind Kooy.
Although Knack Roeselare did not make it past the group stage, Rotty stood out with his impressive performances. He scored 92 points in 22 sets, averaging 4.18 points per set.
Rotty’s career began at Volley Menen, where he was named Player of the Year in 2022. In 2022, he transferred to Knack Roeselare, where he continued to develop and claimed the
Player of the Year title again in 2024. His recent recognition in the All-Star Team confirms his status as one of the most promising talents in European volleyball.
Rotty’s selection is all the more remarkable as he is the only player outside of the Final Four teams to receive this honour. This highlights his exceptional performances and the appreciation he enjoys from both fans and professionals.
