Annelore Bex and Ines Piret Advance to the Knockout Stage at the U19 Beach Volleyball World Championship
After a strong performance in the group stage of the U19 Beach Volleyball World Championship in China, Annelore Bex and Ines Piret have secured second place in their pool. Under the guidance of coach Janne Devos, the team claimed convincing 2-0 victories over Malaysia and Colombia. Their only defeat came against Canada, where they lost 2-0. Despite this setback, the girls have shown that they are playing at a high level and are ready for the next challenge.
Tomorrow, the knockout stage begins with a Round of 24 match against Mexico. If they win this 1/16 final, they will face the Netherlands in the Round of 16, a team they know well. Should Bex and Piret survive both rounds, they will play in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
The first match against Mexico starts tomorrow at 9:30 AM local time (3:30 AM Belgian time). If they win, they will play their next match at 1:00 PM (7:00 AM Belgian time). The matches can be watched via the live stream on the Beach Volleyball World YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@BeachVolleyballWorld/streams.
