A summer full of beachvolleyball
After a successful edition last summer, the Geberit Beachtour and the Flemish Beachtour are back! Starting in April, the first tournaments of the Flemish Beachtour will take place. In May, the Geberit Beachtour will then start again. And although the structure has changed a bit, the general message remains just the same: play volleyball and have fun!
The Geberit Beachtour, the renewed Belgian beach volleyball championships, will kick off on May 6. And this year they are structured a little differently from previous editions: the top 12 compete against each other in the Pro Tour (level 1). That is the competition with the 12 best teams. The next 12 teams play in the Challenger Tour (level 2). The winners of that Challenger Tour, get a ticket to the Pro Tour for the following week. The team that finishes in last place on the Pro Tour, plays on the Challenger Tour the following week. So it's a competition where you can rise and fall all the time.
We are organizing 10 tournaments in 10 different cities in Flanders. The finals of the Geberit Beachtour will be played on August 4, 5 and 6 will take place, just like last year, on Place Monnaie in Brussels. The necessary entertainment will be provided! Can't be there? No worries! The finals will be broadcasted on Eleven Sports.
Flemish Beachtour
Are you bitten by beach volleyball yourself and want to try it out? Check, because the Flemish Beachtour is also coming back this summer! From April through July, competitions will be held in more than 30 different Flemish cities and towns. In the Flemish Beachtour you have divisional (level 3) and provincial (level 4). The Flemish Youth Championships U14, U16 and U18 and learn2beach are also part of the Flemish Beachtour. Anyone who wants to participate can register for it. Note: the maximum number of registrations depends on the number of available fields per location. So be sure to check the calendar, your own calendar and that of your teammate and register as soon as possible for the competitions taking place in your area!
