The Belgian Red Dragons posted their first victory in the European Golden League, defeating Azerbaijan with a clean 0-3 in front of a full house in SportsPark Beveren.

Yet it took a while before head coach Zanini’s squad found its best level to break Vasilenko’s (11 pts.) resistance in the opening set: 19-25.
From then on, Ferre Reggers (topscorer with 23 points) got the full support from Simon Plaskie and Seppe Rotty for a smooth 16-25 and 17-25 in the following sets.
The Belgians will try to copy this victory on Sunday, when they host North Macedonia.
