Belgian volleyball players go international.

26/09/2025

Every year, we monitor the progress of Belgian volleyball players (men and women) and coaches abroad, which sometimes leads to remarkable conclusions.

Among the men, Belgian players are active this season in 12 different countries. Notable transfers include: Seppe Rotty trying his luck in Italy, Bram Van den Dries returning to Greece, and Seppe Baetens now playing in Romania.

Eleven women are in different competitions, some even outside Europe: Hélène Rousseaux to the short competition in the Philippines after her serious injury, and Britt Rampelberg to the States. Other notable moves: Kaja Grobelna from Japan to Turkey, Laura Heyrman from Italy to Poland, Charlotte Krenicky from Germany to Romania, and Nathalie Lemmens crowns her fine season in Germany with a move to Italy.
For coaches, the remarkable step by Bart Janssen, who in addition to being a club and beach coach in Sweden, also becomes coach of the Swedish U17 girls and assistant coach of the Swedish women’s team. Previously, Vital Heynen (China) and Joël Banks (Netherlands) were also national team coaches for the men.

We wish them all much success!
