We have a new national champion! Despite a narrow defeat in the semi-finals of the Cup, Tchalou made history by qualifying for the championship finals for the first time. Their opponent, Asterix Avo Beveren, had already won the Cup in February after a nerve-wracking five-set match against Charleroi and managed to win four out of the six playoff matches.

The title battle among the women was decided in a best-of-three series. Tchalou put on a spectacular performance by winning 3-0 at home against Asterix AVO. However, Asterix demonstrated their strength by fighting back with the same score at home.

The decisive final took place yesterday in Beveren. Although Tchalou won the first set 23-25, the team from East Flanders proved their status as title favorites. With a resounding victory, Asterix AVO Beveren claimed the national title for the sixteenth time.
