Here's an update on the performances of our women's and men's teams.

Women: Unfortunately Not Through to the Quarterfinals
In the women's division, we unfortunately couldn't survive the group stage. In a strong pool, the Belgian women lost their matches against Poland and the Czech Republic. Despite their efforts, their journey in the Nations Cup ended earlier than hoped.
Men: Through to the Quarterfinals, All Opportunities Still Open

For the men, things are looking better. Yesterday, the team played against Sweden and won the thrilling golden set. Daan and Kyan managed to win their match, while Vandecaveye/Vandecaveye lost but then secured the decisive golden set. This led to Belgium winning the confrontation with Sweden.

Later in the day, the men played against Latvia and lost both matches. Therefore, their fate now depends on the final group match between Sweden and Latvia this evening.

The Scenarios
If Sweden loses to Latvia: Belgium will be second in the pool and Latvia first. This means Belgium will advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face a top-tier team.
If Sweden wins against Latvia: Everyone in the pool will have won once. In this case, the decision will be made based on the point ratio, creating an even more suspenseful situation.
