By car

Take the E40 motorway towards Ghent. Take exit 14 Gent Expo. Leave the Holiday Inn Hotel and the Expo on your right. Continue straight on over the roundabout towards 'R4 Zelzate'. Cross the bridge and follow the canal for 2.8 km before turning right towards 'Blaarmeersen'. The Flanders Sports Hall is located just before the entrance to the Blaarmeersen Sports & Recreation Centre.

By public transport

By train, rail to Gent Sint-Pieters train station. At bus platform 8, take bus 19 directly to Blaarmeersen. Get off at the 'Topsporthal Vlaanderen' stop (stop number 201650) at the entrance to the De Blaarmeersen sports and recreation area.
From the Topsporthal Vlaanderen, the city centre can be reached directly by bus 38 or 39.

By taxi? Go electric!

A taxi from the stand at Gent Sint-Pieters station normally costs 8 euros.
Bond Beter Leefmilieu, in cooperation with the City of Ghent and the Ghent taxi companies, has launched an awareness campaign to encourage citizens to opt for electric transport when taking a taxi. Ghent waterzooi

Ghent's most famous dish. The name may sound a bit dirty, but it is one of the tastiest things you can eat here. It is a hot dish that you eat as a main course, a kind of soup. It contains all sorts of things: chicken or fish, vegetables, cream and potatoes. This dish was already prepared in this city in the Middle Ages.




Gent noses (cuberdons)

A cone-shaped sweet in the shape of a nose. Ghent noses are called them, or cuberdons, and you can buy them in many places in the city. They are often purple with raspberry flavour, hard on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. And the nice thing is that you can only buy them here, they are not
