U18 beach teams return from Georgia after the European Championship
During the recent U18 European Championship, both the girls' and boys' teams gained valuable experience and achieved respectable performances.
Vervloet - De Clercq finish in an impressive 9th Place
The girls started the tournament strong by finishing second in their pool. Their only loss came against Germany, which ultimately finished in third place. In the Round of 24, our female duo secured a convincing victory against Estonia, further boosting their confidence. However, in the Round of 16, they faced a very strong Italian team. Despite their hard fight, they lost to the Italians, who eventually finished fourth in the tournament.
In the battle for ninth place, the girls once again demonstrated their resilience and talent by defeating Latvia 2-1. This result highlights their potential and promises great things for future competitions.
Van de Vijver - Vercauteren finish in 21st Place
For the boys, the U18 European Championship was a particularly educational tournament. They finished in 21st place, which is a commendable result for their current level and development. In their pool, they finished third, which led them to face Finland, the second-place team from another pool.
In the match against Finland, the boys had several opportunities but ultimately failed to secure the victory and narrowly lost 2-1, ending their tournament run.
