Belgium - Bulgaria 2-3

It was not to be. In sackcloth and ashes, our Red Dragons ended the Olympic qualifying tournament in Xi'An, China. Just one set short of qualifying for Paris, they were stranded after a 2-3 defeat against Bulgaria.
The third tiebreak defeat at this tournament, this time against Bulgaria, proved fatal. Even though at 2-1 in sets, we were one set from heaven. And at 13-13 in the tiebreak on two mere points.

All were broken and in tears, our Red Dragons. Broken after a brilliant tournament, in which they proved they can compete with the world's top players. But none of that mattered. The result was missing. Nothing left but empty hands... And tears, many tears

Unless later in the day weak little brother Mexico would win over Canada. But no one dared to hope for that....
