The longlist for the CEV EuroVolley 2026 Qualifiers

These Tigers and Dragons will represent the Belgian tricolor during the first part of the CEV EuroVolley 2026 Qualifiers. On August 28th, the Yellow Tigers and Red Dragons will play one final match for the Belgian public before starting their club season. Of course, they want to play this last match in front of a full arena, and for that, they need your support! Come and cheer on the Tigers and Dragons in Kortrijk!

Red Dragons: Sam Deroo and Stijn D’Hulst Strengthen the Squad
Sam Deroo and Stijn D’Hulst are rejoining the Red Dragons squad! Both players bring a wealth of experience: Sam Deroo has over 150 international caps to his name, and Stijn D’Hulst also boasts an impressive track record with over 100 caps. Their return is a valuable addition to the young, ambitious core.

Yellow Tigers: Building on the Challenger Cup
The Yellow Tigers’ squad remains largely unchanged compared to the Challenger Cup. Key player Nathalie Lemmens returns to the squad, and Eline Van Elsen will don the Yellow Tigers jersey at the senior level for the first time. Charlotte Krenicky (injury), Silke Van Avermaet, and Britt Herbots have already started focusing on their club season, in consultation with the coaching staff, and will not participate in the Qualifiers.

How do the EuroVolley Qualifiers work?
There are 7 pools, each with 3 teams. The 7 pool winners and the 5 best runners-up will qualify for the final round in 2026. The qualification matches are played over 2 years, with each team playing a total of 4 matches. This year, the Yellow Tigers will play away against Hungary and at home against Denmark. The Dragons will play away against Azerbaijan and at home against Austria. The return matches will be played in 2025.
