Sam Deroo, reception corner and captain of the Red Dragons, continues to be hugely influential for the team. He scored as many as 61 points from attack (54%), nine in block and eight in service. Per match, Sam averages almost 20 points and a 58% reception percentage. After Matthijs Desmet's back injury, Seppe Rotty got the chance to assert himself in the team. With 28 points from attack (47%), 4 points from block and 2 aces, he is able to live up to expectations.

Ferre Reggers, opposite and one of our youngsters, after a successful European Championship also achieved impressive percentages at this tournament. In four matches he scored 75 points from attack (55%), 7 from block and 1 on service. Ferre scored an average of 21 (!) points per match. These figures make him the tournament's top scorer for the time being.

The middle players are also having a fine tournament. The combination of the experienced Pieter Coolman and the youthfulness of Wout D'Heer seems to be bearing fruit.
