The Turks won just about everything there is to win last summer. After the Volleyball Nations League and the European Championship, they also win this Olympic Qualifying Tournament. A very tough match for the Belgians to end this tournament with.

Türkiye won in three sets from the Yellow Tigers, who can look back on a creditable tournament. Through the world ranking, they can still qualify for Paris 2024. The ranking will conclude after the VNL next summer and then the remaining spots will be handed out.

Coach Vansnick already briefly analysed the match and the tournament:
"Türkiye left nothing to chance and had analysed the 1/8th final in Brussels well. They left us no room to score. Belgium did keep fighting for every ball in set 2 and set 3. That it was a tough assignment at the end of a tough tournament is clear.
Final conclusion is that the start of the tournament against the 7th of the recent European Championships was very strong with a 3-0 win. However, it was also 7 tough matches where we worked with the collective in every set. To help the team through difficult moments."
