No stunt for the Belgians in Japan. They could never really put superpower Brazil in trouble. Brazil had to win to still have a chance to qualify for the Olympics.

"Today started again with Pauline Martin as opposite in the base instead of Nathalie Lemmens. The start of the match was good and the Tigers were able to keep up with a focused Brazil. Unfortunately, 5 storage errors allowed Brazil to quickly run out. The substituted Van de Vyver / Lemmens were able to mitigate to 25-18. In set two Brazil took the Tigers in a stranglehold just like Japan yesterday, Martin could not score. Demeyer came to replace Stragier but Brazil kept the focus and storage pressure. In set 3 we switched back to the system with the three middle attackers. This produced a strong set and until 18-18 Belgium seemed to be on their way to winning the set. Unfortunately, some mistakes at the end and an impressive Gabi made the difference."
